I've been introduced to the wonders of #Windows11. I love how every time I boot the laptop, the Xbox icon is re-pinned to my task bar. How the start menu refuses to accept any text I type into it.

At least it's just for work. Thank god for #Linux for everything else.

Back when Y2K was the thing to be afraid of, my mom bought what she called "pickle barrels" to store food in. They were huge, and made of the kind of plastic that smells like gasoline.

She never did put food in them. Instead, me and the neighbor kids rolled down the hills in the back yard in them.

Allow me to join the legion of commenters recommending you decent mobile games -- Dawncaster is a deck-building RPG with no horrifying coin economy to worry about. Not sure if that's up your alley, but I love it.

I loved that on PC! I can't enjoy it on Android though, as trying to move cards around initiates the "get out of fullscreen" process, revealing the status bar etc.

Moving is such an anxiety-inducing process -- so much so I've started playing Minecraft to calm down. Woof.
