for practicing stencils cheaply: box cutter and some lino tiles from the hardware store. they're thick but still bendy enough to wrap around angles on buildings etc

easy cleanup canvas for practicing with spray cans: roll of butchers paper or cling wrap between two poles in your yard.

for cheeky graffiti it's good to go hard practicing your art at home before a 'night out' so you can get it up fast. cheap out on paint and learn how to shadow, highlight and maintain consistent font styles and try out as many nozzles as you can for different effects and textures.

i'm lucky i have a toddler in the "ooo look" phase of life. i can pretend -he's- the one who found a cool bug and blocked the footpath. people think it's whimsical, even. great stuff.

had some fun with angles, the sunset and silhouettes.

lining this shot up straight was tricky - nothing out here is built square. no one cleans their gutters, either (note plant).
