That said, people need to be more circumspect when talking right now. Generally speaking, too many are quick to knee-jerk react out of fear; a little common sense goes a long way. I get why she was mad, but this could have been handled better all the way around.

From a legal standpoint, the OP's post is a bit misleading. It was the second half of her statement, "Delay, deny, depose. You people are next," that landed her a charge. The house arrest and GPS monitoring is standard pre-trial fare; if they thought she was a threat, she would have stayed in jail.

They asked for my phone number and got it because I thought I was chatting with a peer.

Be careful yall, and shame on those who spend their free time tricking people. This is awful.
