Yeehaw, gearing up for another EP. Who knows, maybe I'll actually submit to some labels, see if it's a sound they like. (Fully aware that's not how the industry works rn, I just gotta do a ton of content)

After this single and upcoming EP, I kinda want to pivot back to even more ambient work. A lot of stuff I've made has felt pretty aimless lately, and I think I'd like to explore more of the pure tonal side of things. I know that's not a popular move, but I think it'll be necessary for me.

Having a packet where you want the questions filled out digitally and returned digitally is NOT the place to use a PDF.
Now I have to copy all of these questions into a docx file, and reformat them. And I'm already juggling three different pages for these questions.

In other news, if my ears aren't cooked from a couple of shows this weekend, I should be gearing up to break up my dry spell.
Last scoring gig kinda fucked me up a bit, so I've been holding off on putting anything out.

Getting told that you're wanted in a circle and still having that itch in the back of your head to shut down to preserve that is a beezy of a dissonance to have, like "oh, we love you dude"
And my brain's just screaming "they're lying, you're still fucking up!"
That shit suucks.

Still trying to wrap my mind around being wanted as more than a pay pig or publicity platform for people, and allowing myself to have a personality. Like, there are VERY private circles that know what I'm like, and I still don't quite feel comfortable around them.

That's right, there are doctors who will never own a home, so I'm going to give up on that dream.

So now, even the children are thinking like soldiers, because they'll have to eventually. I think once you see most children trying to think, and act like soldiers, that's a dangerous place to be as a nation, because now you have everyone aligned perfectly with whatever the military does . . .

Now, back to the children, the only citizens who have lived a purely civilian life. It's not like they don't know they'll have to serve in the military, it's well known. And if I knew I had to go into the army for a certain period of time, I'd be preparing as soon as I understood that fact.

And since every citizen is forced to be a soldier, in essentially a Jewish state, any blanket hate of the IDF becomes antisemitic, in a real backwards way. and with that "hating the DF is antisemitic" door open, they can do almost anything and people looking in, can't say anything about it.

This becomes a problem on multiple fronts, MMS promotes without even having to try, the idea that everyone who isn't israeli is a potential threat, so any rights violations of outsiders can purely be seen as national security.

Israel's mandatory conscription/mandatory service policy is actually super evil in how it shifts EVERY CITIZEN, from child, to soldier, to veteran. Therefore making it so the only citizens who have only ever been civilians, are the children . . .

Okay, so a buddy of mine has had to replace every part on their car,and it still won't run, so I'm calling that ranger thesaphus in honor of the sysaphean task turning that theseus' ship around has become.

I FINALLY got the picture lock for this film last night. I feel bad for having to phone in the scoring, but really though, the deadline is three days away. I'm also looking forward to uveitis round two of this year, I should be trying not to sleep, but this body is not keen on 20 hour days.

To expand, once I get sent the rough cut, which isn't usually how things are done, I'll have 3 days to compose, record, and mix the soundtrack. I'm terrified.

honestly, I got maybe 2 more days of relaxing before I score my first short film, hoping and praying I can get some more attention, and maybe some paying client work from this.

Yeah, not really feeling this country.

Wish me luck, got bamboozled into scoring a film that isn't going to be paid, isn't written yet, and the deadline is less than a week from when we shoot. I just need to know who the editor is so I can get these scenes turned around same day.

You know what's funny to think about? I used to be on so much Vyvanse that I couldn't sleep until 3 in the morning, and would wake up at 5.
I remember at least one time on the bus having hallucinations of faces I would see regularly as a monster.

Honestly super nervous about a potential opportunity, and hopefully I don't fuck it up. Ideally I'd like to work side by side with this guy, but we'll see what happens. Hell, I might not even get the gig.

I really surprised a friend with one of many sidequest stories. Didn't realize I hadn't dropped that bit of lore . . . Oops.

Okay, bullshit promo out of the way, I know that ceasefire ain't real, and that's the geopolitical equivalent of fucking with your sibling and then saying you don't want to play anymore. Nah, there's nothing about this return to 2001 that I support, I've already lived through one of these.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but just because you're a small artist does not mean you can't compensate the engineers and producers you work with. Producers and engineers, there's no favor you owe big enough to completely get cut out of monetary discussions. Exposure is not payment.

Also, I'm sitting on a single that should have been put out months ago, like, damn. What am I doing?

In other news, I'm going to have another EP out, hopefully around the end of June. I think this one just feels a little bit behind because I have like three other projects I'm trying to get finished up.
