Absolutely, but also that whole thing of clipping, all the aero bits, the lift and coast to save fuel. There's no strategic things like refuelling anymore and they're all on the same tyres, so just let them drive.

I really wonder if anyone really cares if these things are hybrid or not. I know I want the screaming V8/V10s back but I'm old and not qualified to know, but I really just want to see drivers able to drive to win, not manage.

Private equity can accelerate the demise of companies that were on their way out anyway, and the transfer of assets that should have been used to pay staff redundancies to leveraged "owners" is particularly immoral, but the impact on consumers rather than staff is effectively zero
