I am planning an event @wshed.bsky.social for the culture sector around our collective role in building togetherness to combat the rise of the far right. I am talking with Hope not Hate and imagining a mix of talk and workshop covering. Is this something you would be interested to attend?

It is of course more than toilets. The culture sector stands in love and solidarity with our Trans, Nonbinary and Intersex communities.

We weren’t organising the event. A hustings goes ahead with whoever candidates show up. He didn’t turn up

When the dust settles I’ll have a think about how we might stage an event to discuss how cultural organisations can contribute to democracy in a time of political extremism. We also dont plan to host any hustings in the near future.

No Reform candidate has turned up for the hustings @wshed.bsky.social. What is happening is an important discussion about disability and access on public transport.

this is the full applicable part of charity commission guidance. Obviously the law can be read in lots of different ways. As we are not organising the event and it is not a selective hustings, our reading i that we do not have the ability at this stage to cancel www.gov.uk/government/p...

Democracy is not served by cancelling people you disagree with. Beat them with your arguments, positive policies and..for those politically motivated…your hard work getting the message out.

Bear in mind some candidates will be less than happy walking up those 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ stairs and with an award winning 🚾 🤭

yes this would be true of any members of the panel or audience and that briefing has gone to all participants.
