Simply amazing

A light beam shines through scraggly forest, illuminating clusters of spider webs in golden light.

This image is called Light in the Dark. It was taken after 'fog hunting' in #tasmania. and driving the backroads to get back to #hobart. I had noticed that the sun was piercing through plantation forest so I hopped out to see what I could find, and stumbled upon this scene.

Winter on the Flats

A hiking path through a bright green (mostly pine) forest on a bright airy morning. This is on one side of the mountain at the edge of the forest with plenty of light coming off the sea.

Another hiking path on the opposite side of the mountain. This is deep in the forest between two mountains with very little light to be had.

Pine grosbeaks tend to drop off of their perch before gaining altitude, which leads to these great moments if you're fast enough to anticipate the drop. #birds🌿
