CT-Guided PCI Coming Soon to a Cath Lab Near You—If Not There Already
A joint SCCT/SCAI panel reviewed many opportunities for CT to enhance procedural planning and foster multidisciplinary care.
Using CT-guided PCI in cath labs is a practice that will spread widely in the coming years, according to experts in a dedicated session at #SCCT2025. Better software and hardware–backed by supporting data–has already made widespread use a reality. www.tctmd.com/news/ct-guid...

Great educational case! The correlation between FFR and resting gradients is ok, but far from perfect (R values ~0,8).
The answer to this case is nicely demonstrated in the paper below: Resting gradients tend to underestimate focal stenosis due to low friction. doi.org/10.1161/CIRC...

Messages: 1) caution w/ resting gradients in focal lesions, 2) if need to compare FFR-CT: compare to FFR, 3) hyperemic FFR pullback will demonstrate focality, 4) correlation between FFR-CT & FFR
