I said, as nicely as I could, that, with over 2,000 books published every Tuesday, of which many would appeal to men, itβs not a publishing problem, itβs a men problem.

Didnβt know until I went back and looked how great a reaction photo I had
I share to you all
One encouraging theme in last night's NC primaries is the simple fact that being pro-trans is now like being anti-ICE among Dem voters: to them, it means you're a fighter, it means you're not giving into Trump.
That's a really, really good sign.
Tonight on Alaska News Nightly:
The federal government's Cook Inlet oil and gas lease sale fails to draw any bids.
Plus, the Alaska Supreme Court considers whether prisoners can be forcibly medicated with psychiatric drugs.

I've regularly watched Trump's speeches for damn near a decade now, and he's always been a rambler. Loves to deviate from the teleprompter, loves to tell weird little stories, loves his weird wandering asides
What he never used to do, though, was repeat himself. That's extremely new
Well, THERE'S good news.

We identified 12 shootings by federal agents that led to the deaths or injuries of citizens & immigrants since Sept.
Nearly every time, the Trump admin blamed the injured and dead. Experts say this apparent lack of accountability demands that local authorities step up to investigate federal agents.

Small blessings, I guess.

05.03.2026 00:35 β π 81 π 16 π¬ 3 π 0"In every CBA negotiation, the goal of the league and teams is to divide the players. These negotiations are no different. We remain united and focused on delivering a transformational CBA for all members of this Union, and are committed to negotiating for as long as it takes. Our Union's nearly unanimous vote in December to authorize us to call a strike, if and when necessary, was not taken lightly. It was made with complete faith and trust in ourselves and our negotiating committee, led by Executive Director Terri Carmichael Jackson and President Nneka Ogwumike, to represent all players as we work to build a W that truly puts players first. Nothing has changed. That decision, and the results of our recent player survey, reaffirm that the current league proposal is not worth taking. Despite our differences and tough moments, we must make crystal clear that we are focused, we are resolute, and we are together. We want to play basketball in 2026. We want to be in front of our fans playing the game that we love. We will not stop fighting. There is no WNBA without the players."

Iβve been notified about another death in ICE custody.
This marks a stunning 40 deaths during the second Trump administration.
This cannot continue. There must be real accountability for ICE and DHS.

Dominant but not dangerous performance from USWNT. Not a major worry to play that well against a top opponent. And credit to Emma focusing on set pieces to make the difference in a top matchup

S OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting II Today, the Court takes the astonishing, unexplained step of staying a state trial courtβs order before the state high court has had a chance to weigh in. To do so, the majority had to conclude that it has jurisdiction to act, that acting now is consistent with the bedrock federalism values under- lying its jurisdictional limits, and that the equities favor granting this relief despite the Courtβs repeated admoni- tions to proceed cautiously when intervening in state elec- tions or court proceedings. The Court goes badly wrong at every turn. OTOMAYOR , J., dissenting Appeals. Supp. App. 102β103. Besides, even if the Appel- late Division denied defendants leave to appeal the denial of stay, defendants still may seek that same relief from the Court of Appeals directly. N. Y. C. P. L. R. Β§5519(c); Β§5602(a)(2) (permitting a litigant to seek leave to appeal from the Court of Appeals βupon refusal by the appellate divisionβ as to βan order of the appellate division which does not finally determine [the] proceedingβ). Until defendants try to obtain relief from New Yorkβs highest court, this Court cannot and should not act. That defendants have not taken that modest step should have resulted in the denial of the stay they seek.3
To me, the NY redistricting case feels like a constitutional crisis in miniature. The Supreme Court is issuing orders it "cannot" issue, Sotomayor explains in her dissent. Yet it did so anyway.
So how should the NY courts react to an order that should never have issued?
