A night-time image of Central Cinema, a brown brick building with a rainbow flag affixed to its facing. An illuminated marquee lists the showing of David Lynch’s 2001 film, Mulholland Drive. The light from the marquee, and from a neon sign affixed to the building above the marquee, reflect off the large windows of the neighboring business.
A movie theater room with dimmed lights, and a Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Hotline commercial projected on the screen. In the commercial, a blond woman with curly hair (Lucy, played by Kimmy Robertson) speaks on a white, corded phone, reprimanding the caller for misusing the hotline. Text is overlaid on the commercial, reading: Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Hotline, 1-900-860-, with the final four numbers blurred.
Went to see Mulholland Drive (for the first time) at a local theater last night, and really loved it! There were also several Twin Peaks related previews— mostly old commercials, but there was also a trailer for Fire Walk with Me. Such a good experience.
