Just got tix to Chicago Humanities Festival | Rick Steves: On the Hippie Trail! Would it be too nerdy to say that @ricksteves.bsky.social was a childhood icon for me? Because he was! I'd watch his show on PBS as a kid in the 90s (I can still hear the theme & the way he'd say "Travels... in Europe!")

and then when we did #travel in Europe ourselves my dad would borrow his #books from the library.

Finished reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir last night and then finally watched the trailers for the upcoming film adaptation, and omg I hate that they gave away so much, especially Rocky! When reading the book I had no idea there'd even be aliens and it was such a wonderful surprise.
