Because you know, I had to be bleeding so much that my #POTS would activate in the worst of ways. And now? I’m dealing with something I predicted was going to happen if the doctors kept ignoring me: a literal organ prolapse. 3/5

Because then you’ll end up with someone like me. I’ve been dealing with a very serious medical injury from a doctor who physically assaulted me after ignoring me about me having hEDS…then, almost 9 months later, I finally am given some kind of treatment for that injury…after doctors downplayed it2/5

It’s been a while…all I have to say is: hey #doctors? #MedicalProfessionals? If you have patients with #hEDS or any other variation of #EDS and they tell you that something is wrong? Listen to them. Don’t gaslight them. Don’t belittle them, write them off, ignore them, etc. you know why? 1/5

To be clear, folks don’t get to say things like “Globalize the Intifada” then be all shocked & say, “that’s not what we meant” when Jews all over are getting shot, set on fire or worse. Wtf did you think the Intifadas were? Don’t advocate for something if you don’t know what it is.

Our upstairs neighbor really needs to not have a cat…she clearly doesn’t know how to take care of or keep a cat without constantly screaming and stomping around. Literally all day and night.

I think I now know what it would be like to live inside of a drum. It’s not as fun as one would think.

So yeah…skin infections are absolutely zero fun. Super painful. Do not recommend.

Hey. I’m still alive. I currently have a skin infection though. So uh… #ExcoriationDisorder really blows. What is that? Well, lots of folks know it as #Dermatillomania or #SkinPicking . It’s a problem that I’ve dealt with for a very long time. It impacts my life a great deal…clearly.

Dealing with trauma that stems from one of my earliest conscious memories is…incredibly un-fun. Super not great. 0/10, do not recommend.

Every once in awhile I remember that not everyone lives with lifelong chronic illness/pain and disability and I feel so confused…. and then very angry.

It’s so unspeakably unfair

Sunday's random thoughts. When your body truly becomes a prison, you become less caring about your external prisons. People who deal with chronic pain, physical, emotional, and mental, are warriors in ways that healthy people have sometimes a hard time recognizing.

Having a disability or chronic pain is not only about limitations when you can't do something. It's also about the price you are paying for doing something.

There survive at least 4 pages that were recovered from the Nazi book burning in 1933. When I saw them posted over on Threads a while ago I recognized the typeset being from Magnus Hirschfeld's Geschlechtskunde. I scanned the corresponding pages and some parts on trans people further in the book:

Not just that but also, to make them feel like whatever hardships that come along that are systemic that cause disabled people to live in poverty, make transport extra hard, etc is ALSO their fault? That’s also a horrible way to show that you “care” or are “worried” for them. 2/3

A lot has been happening…know that I am not okay. To the parents who have disabled children: if you’re worried about them, the worst possible thing you could ever do is make your child feel like their disability is their fault. 1/3
