Based on the nature of Military service it’s very easy for a service member to join up for a good cause then be called to participate in something completely opposite of that

All people Who have served in an Actual military (not a separate paramilitary force) are veterans regardless of what that service looks like .

SS was not the military.
Military receiving orders to participate in a war they have no say in should never disqualify them from
