Throwback to November-December 2020 when I was living in NYC with pretty punk COVID hair.

As strange as it sounds, I feel left out and kinda shitty about myself as a gay man for being so uncomfortable about it, to be honest.

Thanks to, you guessed it, trauma from unwelcome advances including being drugged and raped (twice), I’ve been too terrified. But as a sex positive person, it feels like I’m missing out on something many of my gay friends and guys I’ve dated really enjoy.

Honestly, I am scared of circuit parties and seriously wish I wasn’t. I love hearing every detail about them from friends and I’ve always been lowkey curious to try going to one.

But imagining standing in just underwear or naked in a crowded sex charged environment makes me so anxious I shake.
