The area beneath a long grandstand was photographed lengthwise. Numerous identical, wedge-shaped concrete frames are visible, forming a tunnel when viewed from the rear. Due to side lighting, they exhibit varying shades of gray, some light, some dark. Within this "tunnel," trash cans are lined up in a row, stretching all the way to the back. The clean, uniform lines give the scene a somewhat surreal quality. Various simple graffiti tags are applied to the concrete elements.

The photo shows part of a large spectator stand with many light-colored seats, and on the right-hand side a passageway with a railing around the outside. Gray concrete steps are visible at the base of the seats. The area is covered; from the roof, the supports and part of the wooden paneling of the roof can be seen above the seats.

Visible is a passageway below the grandstands with columns on both sides and wooden beams forming the ceiling. An opening at the end of the passageway allows a view of a dense forest with a bright sky above. In front of the forest are many flagpoles without flags. The ground is made of cobblestones.

Grandstands of the Regattastrecke Oberschleißheim, built for for the rowing and canoeing events of the 1972 Olympic Summer games. It feels like a lost place.
