Okay, so I started my Saturday by uploading all the invoices I've received since going Freelance since I didn't realize that was neccessary. And I.. kinda enjoy it. It's like filling a Pokedex.

Check if there're fairs or anything around. Boardgames need tokens and stuff, too! There're a lot of online shops that create tokens for games and need hands on deck. Or 3D print online services who would like to offer custom made stuff for clients etc. You never know!

I'm pretty much in the same position. Just a few years sprinkled on top :D What I learned is that other industries (boardgames, toys, etc) are always very excited about game artists. We do put a LOT of effort and efficiency into our work those people know :D

Did you try checking out things like toy design? Went to the biggest toy fair recently and there is basically no crossover from games to toys and I think there're some really cool opportunities.
