Where was this contract textualist argument when the league didn’t have a force majeure clause that covered the pandemic in 2020 and ownership threatened a lockout??

MLSPA negotiated in good faith then in the face of a highly improbable event.

Time for ownership to do the same.

The NBA and WNBA are now actively posting on Bluesky and I can't emphasize enough how important it is that we do everything possible to support these accounts, because how many followers they acquire and how much positive engagement they get will 100%, unequivocally determine how committed they are to this place AND how likely it is that other leagues & sports personalities could then come here too. These accounts aren't just big accounts, they're bridges to entire communities and the ripple effect of them succeeding here would be MASSIVE. If you want to stick a stake through Twitter's heart, this is how you do it - but remember, the NBA and WNBA don't *have* to be here and it's not a foregone conclusion this isn't anything more than a trial run. So yes, don't just follow these accounts: help promote them and positively interact w them too. Let's show them this place is worth investing in.

This week in the @615Soccer Discord, I said that I still need to see this team prove it against upper echelon teams.

However, there is a world where BJ Callaghan is the next elite MLS manager and Nashville SC levels up to a top tier side.

We may be living in that world.

I’m not. But casual American sports fan who isn’t or barely watching soccer right now probably will lump them in together.

MLS isn’t getting a bump from 2026 unless people have positive experiences….which will be disproportionately tied to USMNT success.

Everyone talks about the 2026 World Cup's potential to boost MLS/US soccer, but no one considers the reverse.

After last night, USMNT crashing out in the group stage is a real threat - cementing in the public that MLS / US soccer isn't worth watching.

It would be a once-in-a-generation calamity

So maybe Berhalter was never the problem 🤔
