Oh well I've already had ample sufficiency, no need to be greedy I suppose!

If we could just take out Trump, Netanyahu and Putin at the same time, the world would be a safer place

No, it wasn't one. It was a logical progression

Can't see it on TVNZ+ sorry. Try searching One New's social media to see if they posted a clip anywhere

I haven't had KFC for close to 30 years. But I can remember in Nelson a vet telling me that the bones were safe to give pets as it was pressure-cooked in oil. I'd get it about once a month or so, and my two young cats would be at the door of the car mewing before I even turned the engine off

They are very groovy (a word which probably comes from around the same time as the togs)

I actually thought, no it won't be this, but let's just see how the pattern falls

And I won't be voting Labour either. But you also won't see me slagging them off. For this to be a one-term government we need Labour to do well. Sabotaging that is self-sabotaging

I have a friend in precisely this position now. She was made redundant at 60. She's a highly skilled person. She's now on the dole, and feeling like shit as rejection after rejection comes in. Our retirement age can't rise until Kiwis ditch their ageism

Absolutely with you on this. Elements of the left are very good at letting perfection be the enemy of the good. It's not a good habit to get into.

The Gerry Brownlee interview: The ‘appalling’ Press newspaper and other memories On the eve of the 15th anniversary, former Earthquake Recovery Minister reveals what he thinks about the cathedral, going to the brink with insurers and his one regret.

I was feeling quite favourable about this Gerry Brownlee interview until the end. Eastlake is dead FFS, let it go!

I'll have to cut it right back, but as it's not a grafted tree it should come away again. Fingers crossed 🤞

Yeah 😞 However, even tho it's a mess, every part of the tree is still connected to the roots. So I've taken off the ripest peaches, and I'm leaving it in situ, and hopefully what's left will still ripen. After that I'll have to get brutal with it

We had a cold southerly storm over the past couple of days. Last night the wind got too strong and the tree split in several directions

17.02.2026 04:04 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Not quite. I had pruned it to fan out along the fence, but this summer it put on a huge amount of growth (and fruit!) so it was also growing over the pathway. Had planned to give it a strong prune back into shape once I harvested the fruit...
