I am honored to announce that I have been selected to participate in the prestigious Jacobson House Native Art Center's Art Biennal 2025 in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Diabetes Awareness Summit was today at the Muscogee Nation's River Spirit Casino Resort.
I did a live paint demo, and the finished piece was presented to a guest.
It's an honor to represent our Mvskoke people with my art at an event that benefits the health and well-being of our people.

Even though I won't be in Santa Fe this weekend for the 103rd Annual Indian Market, two pieces of my artwork will be as part of the group exhibit Keepers of the Land at Sovereign Santa Fe at the LaFonda on the Plaza.
My works in this exhibit are Opvnkv-eshomahtv (Dance Leader) and Ahocetv (To Farm).

Features work from Mvskoke artists Johnnie Diacon and Hotvlkuce Harjo. The exhibition explores the concept of Indigenous futurisms through the lens of traditional lifeways as a continuous practice that informs contemporary Indigenous realities.

I'm looking forward to doing a live paint event at the upcoming 19th Annual Diabetes Awareness Summit on August 28th at the Muscogee Nation's River Spirit Casino Resort here in Tulsa.

The Muscogee Nation Native Youth Community Project's (NYCP) next Cultural Lunch & Learn series will take place Friday, Aug. 29, and will center around Mvskoke Mounds, Grounds and Tribal Towns with featured guest, Johnnie Diacon and speaker, RaeLynn Butler, Secretary of MCN Culture & Humanities.

Coming up August 21st at Emory University's Michael C. Carlos Museum in Atlanta. Continuum is a two-person exhibition that I will be a part of along with fellow Mvskoke artist Hotvlkuce Harjo. It is curated by the Carlos Museum's Miranda Kyle, the curator of Indigenous Arts of the Americas.

I am honored for the invitation and looking forward to the special reception at NYU Tulsa tonight honoring Native artists and celebrating a creative exchange across communities.

Covid-19 in Indian Country: Native American Memories and Experiences of the Pandemic.
My painting was used on the cover and again, along with two other of my paintings in the section about the Muscogee Nation's experiences during the pandemic.

Mvto to CBC Indigenous reporter, Candace Maracle, for reaching out to me to include my work in her digital report for CBC Indigenous on lullabies which aired in Canada during their National Indigenous Peoples Day and National Indigenous History Month.

We delivered 1500 copies of Chilocco Indian School by Julie Pearson-Little Thunder, @johnniediaconart.bsky.social, and @thejerrybennett.com to the Oklahoma History Center Museum! The comic was originally organized by Sarah Milligan of the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program at the OSU Library.

It went very well. Great attendance, and we had a wonderful time.
We missed you and hope you were doing well. We are doing great.

We had a great time in Knoxville during our 4 day visit as guests of the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture from May 31st to April 3rd.

The exhibition This Land Calls Us Home: Indigenous Relationships with Southeastern Homelands, now at the Schatten Gallery Level 3 of Emory University’s Robert W. Woodruff Library. I have four pieces of work in this group exhibit.

Coming up at the TCC McKeon Center for Creativity, 910 S Boston Ave, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
