The fuck up in my book snake coincided with the start of 2 months inability to focus on any book or audiobook. As I began catching up on the knitting, my enjoyment of books has returned. Go figure.

Taking a break from knitting Cuthbert and knitting emotional support chickies! Still struggling to find audiobooks available on the platforms I have and that I can stay focused on. I already listened to at least 40 this year. In the meantime, podcasts are taking over!

Looking for audiobook suggestions that are on Libby, Hoopla or Libro.fm
I am theoretically game for any genre but top 3 would be fantasy, mystery and historical fiction. My reading challenge on Storygraph got me this far with good ideas, but I am starting to run dry. #booksky

I won't have to undo the whole thing but there are 18 book sections to remove and redo, and the rows in between. Works out to be 126 rows! (Almost half of what I had completed so far🤦‍♀️) Granted it's a snake so not super big around but just arrgh!

My husband knows me well enough... when I briefly deliberated leaving that book out, or adding it in now he knew anything other than making it correct would bother me forever even though no one else would know or care. I am going to frog back instead of unknitting row by row

I just discovered an error in Cuthbert...a book that somehow I didn't get on my list so it didn't get knit. And of course it's about 10+ books back that I need to undo! 🫣😩

I don't know how to share my starter pack- but there are maybe a dozen of us that I have found. Not everyone shares much about theirs but we're here!

Also have to share that my neighborhood has some additional sidewalk joy. The Bridgerhen Coop Little Library is halfway between a Free Little Library and treasure exchange...chicken themed. And it's only a block away from me so it gives me so much joy. #sidewalkjoy

I did some tinking (iykyk) I HATED the light pink and ended up switching it out for a varigated color. I also went through WAAAY too much effort for one book that was equally history and science. Usually I can decide which genre it fits better if it has multiple labels. Not here #booksky #booksnake

As a result of working on my booksnake, I am more aware of when I cluster books of my comfort genres. I was liking the more random patterning and I don't want too many big chunks so I had to force myself to make other choices. It's going to be an interesting result regardless

I was in St. Paul for 5 days for an amazing training with the Ideal Center at the Science Museum and during that time I managed to swing out and visit 6 Free Little Art Galleries! Apparently I can only post four photos though.

Oh I like that- can you explain how your numbers and colors work? I see that it's about the kids' reading, and I have had a couple of thoughts for some other people for next year. I think I understand based on the photo but I would love some some more info (and an updated photo!)

Cuthbert the booksnake is now 14 color stripes long. Also in the photo is the book Murder Your Employer, the McMasters Guide to Homicide by Rupert Holmes

Reading a mystery, listening to a mystery. I guess I know what color my next stripe will be. Well... not the very next as I have some catching up to do- but Cuthbert is looking fine.
