That’s wild cause Romance +Comedy is romance plus something else.

Romantasy is Romance + Fantasy
Is romance plus something else

Slice of life is a whole separate genre. Western Markets pushes its romance sub-genre imho

But it’s ok to just say no romance, yet ppl have to justify their like of it

Yeah i never understand avoiding saying no.

Lowkey i think its cause ppl do love romance, most fandoms are running purely on ships and romance books, in all their forms, are top earners in trad publishing, indie and webtoons/comic spaces where users reading stats matters.

Maybe you only cared about the action, that’s fine but it doesn’t erase it was a romance/ love for someone motivating the main character.
Also people erase romance being a possibility once a straight man is at the center so hey 😂

Romance is painfully mainstream and comes in many forms yet the misogyny/ internal misogyny got ppl in a chokehold

thinking that romances inherently have nothing else going on upsets me

If I had asked if you like adventure,Action, or fantasy stuff you would’ve just said yes or no.

Trust me you can stay informed by just checking socials for 15mins-1hr. There is no reason to be on any platform for hours.

Rotate your sites if you can’t log off. Do hours of JUST listening to music/ look at other websites that’s not social media.

I have some strong opinions that I won’t go in depth on but I will say for the sake of yall own health , please find a job OR activity that FORCES you off the internet/social media, for at least 4-6hrs a day.

Internet/ Phone addiction + the state of fuckin EVERYTHING is gonna kill the mental
