Can’t seem to find any evidence that Paramount Pictures budged from this stance since this statement. So I, Shaz, fan of Sonic since the very beginning and apparently also a killjoy could not put my presence at the premiere or put my money towards seeing the movie.

As an SA2 fan I feel bitter sweet.. more so one side than the other

It’s always interesting hearing about the why behind design decisions in sonic redesigns, looking forward to the next video 😎

Cherry reds do be looking so cool on shadow especially with your highlighting and shading. I enjoy their expressions too, you captured their iconic attitudes better than the current models have in recent years 🔥🔥

That could add some fun over-exaggeration to his expression, but I think there should be a limit 🤔

Lastly I think the eyes could be a bit more relaxed looking, mainly lower in height. If his eyes are already tall when in their relaxed state, then whenever he lifts his eyebrows (I.e. surprised) they’ll reach even higher- almost alien like

A more flexible construction for the shoes is always better over the usual stiffness his official ones have lol

I’d also say the tan wrists feel awkward and a little forced, unsure if they want to cover the entire arm. I really like the added joints and sections to the shoes

I respect the idea to reference shadow with the inverted forehead spine, giving new meaning to Shadow’s marking. But I’d say it overcomplicates Sonic’s design

I think his inverted forehead spine and cheek spines are also unnecessary tbh. The cheek spines add excess shape noise to their respect areas and don’t seem to follow the same direction as every other motion line Sonic adorns

This is interesting, I enjoy Shadow and the angles you gave him. I really like how you recaptured the feeling of motion in both their faces, curved ears and less puffy quills too. I personally think Sonic’s body is a bit too blocky now though. Here’s a few notes I made
