Get more from Beneath Ceaseless Skies on Patreon creating an online fantasy magazine & podcast

BCS Patreon has fallen below the monthly amount we need to pay our authors a pro rate and our First Readers a worthy honorarium ($125/mo). Sometimes folks need to lower or pause their support; we understand. But less than 1% of BCS readership donates or supports. www.patreon.com/beneath_ceas... 1/3

3LBE Magazine - True in His Fashion by E. Catherine Tobler The ruff was ever my downfall. July and warmer than I liked, crouched in the curling ferns at the side of the road. Mud pressed beneath me, but not even it was cool; it tugged at the knees of my trous...

It is Freddie Mercury's birthday! Come read "True in His Fashion," wherein Mercury has a vampire handle his fashion choices. (They call it fiction, but eh....)

REVIEW: Samhain Sorceries edited by D.M. Ritzlin Samhain Sorceries proves to be a more than satisfying read... The marriage of sword and sorcery with the atmosphere and trappings of Samhain and Halloween is a strong one

The marriage of sword and sorcery with the atmosphere and trappings of Samhain and Halloween is a strong one, and makes this book a compelling read.

Contra Amatores Mundi: A Gothic Fantasy by Graham Thomas Wilcox Contra Amatores Mundi is a love story soaked in martial theology and stylistic decadence.

Thank you Matt Holder at Strange Horizons for the lovely review of Contra Amatores Mundi! We hope the novella's strange words and weird prose can excite many of us during this Halloween season :)

Absolute masterclass from Fehervari here on why it can be better to avoid relying on tabletop names in the books. My head tells me this is probably a Vespid Stingwing, but the sense of vagueness and uncertainty adds so much to this scene.

an early 15th century night sits atop a caparisonned "Horse" which itself is stood in some shallow water. The Knight wears a bascinet and has a shield with his heraldry on (mirrored on tha caparison) the horse's head has been replaced with a shrine of some king where a whithered figure holds a book open, forwards away from the horse, the shrine is surrounded by candles.
