Because he did give permission, and he claimed he never did. He even acknowledged that in his follow up tweet as a mistake, saying he forgot. You're arguing for someone who already said it was their mistake lol
30.03.2025 01:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You don't see the fees as the sender when putting it under goods and services, only the receiver does. And no we do not send it under friends and family because that's not what the transactions are.
30.03.2025 01:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If the industry standard is that the receiver eats the fees, and the money we receive to be able to pay runners, commentators, etc reflects that (i.e. it's always 7% less or whatever), you think we should go against that and eat the fee twice?
30.03.2025 01:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's not that you're the crazy one, I think there's just a miscommunication of the standards which are that the receiver eats the fees, the same way it's happened to us for years. I'll do a better job of making sure everyone's in the loop about that instead of assuming people know, that's my fault

2) Looks like the conversion fee was higher, like 5%. Transaction fee was a standard 4% + $0.5 USD for Canada-US. So around 10% in fees total.
We do everything through Wise now instead of PayPal for this reason. The fees are ridiculous.
So it was 2 things:
1) The hours you wrote for PACE Summer and Fall were each off by 1. These screenshots show the timestamps in the VODs of when you commentated if you want to double check too. So your totals were $160 and $210, not $180 and $230.
Like I said, his videos still being in the stream's playlist was an oversight. It wasn't done on purpose.
They're now removed - it doesn't make sense for someone we banned to be on our stream.
Unless every sponsor and partner GSA has been paid by since 2018 is insane, and every person GSA has paid who understands there are transaction fees (bank or online) are all insane, I think you're mistaken. Like I said, we've lost thousands over the years in fees too - it's unfortunately how it is.
30.03.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Would be a difference between the hours you wrote there vs what I have down. Let me go through the VODs and my records and I'll let you know where the discrepancy is. Could of course be a mistake on my end, I'll let you know.
29.03.2025 23:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0How the fee is calculated depends on the platform. For PayPal I think it's 3% transaction and/or 3% conversion, something like that.

To be clear, this is how we've been paid since 2018 as well. We've "lost" thousands to fees over the years from sponsorships, tickets, etc.
My impression is that was a given but to be safe I'll add that when mentioning rates from now on.
Freelance standards right, so to be clear if you worked 5 hours at an event at $20/hr, what I type in PayPal is that I'm sending you $100. PayPal then asks if this is for "goods and services" aka freelancer pays the fees, or "for a friend" aka sender pays the fee.
29.03.2025 21:56 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0That is what was paid, can you post proof otherwise? Other than a couple people not considering transaction fees, I don't know what that's referring to. I can provide proof everyone was paid what they were owed at every event. And if I made a mistake somewhere, please let me know.
29.03.2025 21:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I deleted my last post because Suigi granted Milo permission to use his videos and forgot about it, that's Suigi's fault and not Milo's.

29.03.2025 21:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Would really prefer to talk instead of long walls of text back and forth, I don't think that's really getting us anywhere. We can just talk me and you even
