We took the train up to UC Davis for a football game last weekend. Strongly recommend both Amtrak and Aggies football. Great small stadium experience. But I was reminded why I canβt quite hang with the YIMBY. I want us to build housing but this is turning farmland into traffic and isolation.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.
If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it wonβt work. Iβve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

POND RULES:
No swimming, jumping or gallivanting.
Do not disturb the pond witch.
No fishing with dynamite.
Sacrifices to water gods on alternate Wednesdays only - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Taunt the crows at your own risk.
If a hand comes out of the water to beckon you, turn and walk away.
Do not feed the weretrout.
Is the water burning with cold unholy fire? Report it to the ranger!
Theyβre not ducks. Run.
Have fun!
You know, I'm not sure I ever really read the Pond Rules at our local nature preserve all that closely before

Washington Post editorial board comes out against releasing the Epstein files, dismisses them as having no public interest (how they know this without seeing them first is a mystery) and praises the lone 'no' vote against their release from Clay Higgins
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have βno public interestβ before even seeing them. Thatβs a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone βnoβ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

We have big structural problems, but there's some real evidence the people who have been elected and who are running the Dem party are uniquely terrible at politics, and when they go away/get out argued, things are genuinely going to get better. Trump is so much better at this than they are.
