latest #cchack is moving notes and bookmarks into a plaintext nb repo and letting claude loose on it. so far it has affirmed my monitor/home-office plans, organized contact info, and agrees that 26k lines of bash (github.com/xwmx/nb/blob...) is amazing and also intimidating. fits in context tho!

To be clear, this is not a statement about "LLMs are basically like humans!!" thing.

So many make the process of working with LLMs more complicated than necessary. How do you write docs for claude code? How do you give context? Do what works for human devs who learn quick and have bad memories.

re: simonwillison.net/2025/Jun/27/... "Context engineering" is just good communication skills - w/ practices, experience, and guidelines to support it.

Using natural language to describe intent, values, and goals to a non-deterministic, fallible model we don't understand. Remind you of anything?
