Visited the Portland 'war zone' this morning. A (mostly gray-haired) crowd had gathered for a "pajamas and pastries" protest.

It’s important to remember that community care doesn’t have to come in the form of $100s in donations or dropping off pallets of food.

Sometimes it’s picking up an extra rotisserie chicken for a neighbor, or doing a grocery pick up for an elder, or helping someone with laundry or childcare.

Trump is ending SNAP benefits on October 31st. That means that roughly 1 in 6 Oregonians will be losing their food assistance come November 1st.
