Random religious thought: I feel like "god" wouldn't really care about faith. so tldr version is: the best justification for incest being illegal is to deter abuse and to make it easier to prosecute when said abuse happens.

And also to establish social norms that don't lead to make potential incestuous abusers/rapists feeling like they have societal permission for their actions.
