Happy to see my book review of Hannah Chazin's book 'Live stock and dead things' is online! Thanks @antiquity.ac.uk for asking me to read and review this wonderful book on human-animal relations; I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the role of animals in past societies!

"This is a well-researched, highly original and thought-provoking book that challenges readers to confront their own biases... [Chazin] not only reinterprets zooarchaeological data but also equips us to rethink human–animal relations in the present and future." 2/2

Had a really lovely day with members of the Bronze Age Study Group touring West-Frisia yesterday! We visited several sites & the Rundveemuseum in Aartswoud, where several beautiful Dutch breeds are kept. This lovely lady approved of my view on Bronze Age animal architecture! @ansoc-erc.bsky.social
