This Friday is “Farcical Friday” the BHSA’s second attempt to impress PCC’s and MP’s with their stage managed “trail” show.

The HSA will be releasing new footage – the result of a year-long investigation – of a major foxhunt being caught in the act.

They meet early in the morning – because that is when the scent is best for new hounds and because the countryside is very quiet.

Obviously, a pack of small beagle or basset hounds in the middle of a field is a give-away.

Leveret hunting season starts soon 🐇

Keep an eye out for the local Hare Hunting foot packs of Essex and Suffolk and tip us off if you see them or get wind of a meet.

Leveret hunting usually takes place in September and early October.

We're very sorry to report that the Cattistock Hunt killed at least one poor fox whilst cubbing this morning at Melbury House, home of one of Britain’s richest women Lady Charlotte Townsend, a former Master of the hunt.
