Kinda disjointed in the first bit & it feels torn between focusing on the prestige of the event and the mentality & dangers of motor racing. It still does both decently well though, particularly the latter, the final 30 minutes are great. Definitely give it a watch.

Pretty good, tho not amazing. Wasn't overly enamoured with the overall plot or the villains, and it should've been a bit shorter.

That said, it's pretty funny, the main duo's dynamic is really fun and never gets old, and hot damn that whole soundtrack is something else.

84) The Raid (2011)

I didn't like it that much, which is sad cause my friend really wanted to show it to us. While the action and editing is really good it felt like too much packed in to one movie and felt stale after a while. Also doesn't help that I was in a shit mood while watching.

This might be one of my new favourite movies ever. It’s perfectly paced: enough downtime for the action to not be overstimulating, enough tension for the downtime to not be boring, and enough action for the tension to pay off. The fight choreography itself is beyond all description.

104. Hunter x Hunter (Season 1)

Wow yeah guys I wonder if HxH is good.

The glaze is pretty justified, because I was hooked on this almost immediately. It just has such an easily loveable vibe to its cast and feel that I couldn't help but adore it. I look forward a LOT to the rest!

Killua's my fav character in the show so getting to dive deeper into him after an arc of building mystery around him is always satisfying. Can only be so good w/such a short runtime but it's Killua-centric HxH, I'll eat that shit up frame one.

Wow ok, not great. Hated the Shaggy romance plotline, especially the musical number, the pacing is pretty awful with the aliens appearing like once before the climax, and it's generally just not that interesting.

Fred was pretty funny in this one at least.
