Seems to me that participating in events like the Sphere, are better for everyone overall, then just locking it in a vault until it falls into the PD. No one is forcing anyone to go to the Sphere to watch it. Your 4K DVD will still be around to watch at home.

I see people complaining about "The Wizard of Oz" at the Sphere. Keep in mind that 'Oz' will be in the public domain in a very short 9 1/2 years, at which point anyone will be allowed to do anything they want with the film (and any other 1939 film).

Nobody is really talking about it, but Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine
is doing amazing acting work right now. He's playing a sullen arsonist on "Smoke" and a gregarious friend on "Dexter", killing it in both and it took me 3 weeks to figure out their both the same person. Give that guy a movie.
