2 questions for society, not just anti-vaxxers, then I'll explain:

1. Why is being autistic worse than what you'd get vaccinated for?

2. Why is 'curing' (ie preventing) autism a presumed good?

Every conversation about this focuses on vaccines not causing autism. That follows the science, sure. /1

International Relations Is Not a Morality Play: What to Expect From the War With Iran The Trump administration has no plan and no path to a good outcome.

"Militarily closing the Strait of Hormuz—i.e. preventing US Navy access to it—would be hard, but Iran doesn’t need that for an economic impact. Hostilities make ships afraid to sail, and insurance companies refuse to cover the risk."

Looks like the White House really didn't think this through.

Hillary Clinton would have been one of the greatest US presidents. That’s a hill I will die on. And our country hasn’t properly mourned this being stolen from us.

I welcome this non-war subject. I’m also very interested because I want my next vehicle to be an EV and care about climate change.

MAGA Unreality vs the World The U.S. government is in the hands of people who are fully detached from reality. That is a major weakness for the regime – but also a source of further radicalization.

I believe MAGA will ultimately fail to consolidate authoritarian rule. But for the time being, the powers of the U.S. government are in the hands of a regime that is hellbent on imposing its unreality on America and the world.

And that is truly frightening.

Because they are perceiving the world almost exclusively through the prism of the far-right media landscape, they have their delusions constantly reflected back at them and thereby confirmed, especially by an extremist online scene that eternally lusts for violence.

Geopolitical disruption isn’t an automatic sales opportunity for fossil fuel producers. There are too many cheap alternatives, so it’s more likely to generate demand destruction.

Europe’s gas consumption post Russian invasion of Ukraine is a case in point.

I agree. He is not a strategic thinker, he just needs to be the star. I worked at Dow Jones, then the WSJ, then Barron's, editing coverage of him at every stage. He was always inserting himself into issues that had f-all to do with him (the vicious Central Park 5 ad was a perfect example).
