Coldwell - Related Works 10: Hawksmoor by Peter Ackroyd. The past poking into the present, dark occult forces and distancing language. With thanks to @fuzzynick.bsky.social for reminding me of this 1985 novel, which I shall have to revisit.

The story in the booklet about copies of the debut being found in bargain bins is exactly how I found my copy: a corner-cut import for 59p from Siren Records in Derby, sometime in the late 1980s.

Today's musical delivery is the long-awaited second album from David J Forman. That's long-awaited as in 50 years after his 1976 debut. Should have been released the following year, but took the long way round. Never mind, it's here now and a thing of beauty.
