A magic item for use in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. This is a homebrew magic item created by Cloaks & Capes. Phase Fang Dirk Weapon (dagger), uncommon “This fang from a phase spider was carefully tempered and worked into the metal of the blade. Even after surviving the extreme heat of the forge it retains some of the innate magical abilities of the phase spider.” You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Ethereal Jaunt. When you score a Critical Hit with this magic weapon you can teleport to the Ethereal Plane. You remain there for up to 1 minute, at which point you teleport back to the Material Plane. You can also use a Bonus Action on your turn to teleport back to the Material Plane.

Shambling Cloak Wondrous Item, very rare “This rare cloak is made from the remains of a shambling mound and though the creature is long dead, the vines of this cloak will slowly and harmlessly twist and slither along the arms, back and neck of the one wearing it.” While wearing this magic item gives you advantage on stealth checks when trying to blend in among plants and other flora. Additionally, you have advantage on grapple checks against medium creatures or smaller. Lightning Absorption. Whenever you are subjected to lightning damage, you take no damage and regain a number of hit points equal to half the lightning damage dealt

Fey Royalty Sorcerer, a third party Dungeons and Dragons subclass. The chaotic energies of the fey flow through the veins of Sorcerer’s that come from Fey Royalty. They can see the power in disorder, and control that which was thought to be wild. Chaos becomes their sword. Some use it to make reality bend the knee. Others channel their birthright over the unpredictable for more noble pursuits. Bend the Knee Level 14 Fey Royalty Feature The majesty and regal nature of Fey Royalty is undeniable, and there is power in the respect it commands. Your sorcerous origins can manifest in a magnificent or fearsome manner. As a Magic action, all creatures of your choice within 120 feet that can see you must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or have the Charmed condition until the end of your next turn. Charmed creatures immediately kneel and must spend their next turn groveling and cannot take any actions or move. Roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, and any creatures that made a successful save are affected by that Wild Magic Surge effect.
Most who have witnessed Wild Magic show it some level of respect, but have you ever wanted that chaos to respect you in return?

👥Sometimes players don’t engage with NPCs right away. Give them a reason too. Have the NPC start asking questions about them.

What is one of your lesser known rules that always surprises people when you point it out in RAW?
As a Rogue main, only being able to use Sneak Attack once per TURN, not per ROUND, means an Opportunity Attack can be done sneakily!

A magic item for use in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. This is a homebrew magic item created by Cloaks & Capes. Phase Flame Stiletto Weapon (dagger), uncommon (requires attunement) “A long thin dagger made from grinding a phase spider fang into a fine powder and mixing it with the alloy used to forge the stiletto. The remains of the phase spider gives the metal a cool, bright blue sheen that seems to glow slightly.” You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, and it deals an extra 1d6 Fire damage whenever it hits a creature. Phaselock. When you deal damage to a creature with this magic weapon you can use a Bonus Action to force them to make a DC 13 Charisma saving throw or be teleported to the Ethereal Plane for 1 minute. At the end of each of its turns, the target repeats the save, returning to the Material Plane on a success. Once used, you cannot use this property again until the next dawn.

Space Hamster Poncho Wondrous Item, rare “This durable, furry poncho is made to look like the adorable and cuddly space hamster. While it is made from the fur of the beast, it was harvested with care and no space hamsters were hurt in the process.” This magic item gives you resistance to cold damage and advantage on saving throws to resist or recover from exhaustion. Additionally, you have a +5 bonus to Wisdom (survival) checks. You can use an action to cast the enlarge\reduce spell on yourself. Once you cast this spell you cannot cast it again until you finish a long rest.

Arcane Extortion Level 17 Aura Thief Feature You’ve learned to siphon a tremendous amount of energy out of items and into yourself, redirecting it into a single, lethal attack. Aura Smite. Using a Bonus Action, after hitting a target with Sneak Attack, you drain one of your attuned magic items of energy and deal extra Force damage based on the rarity of the item. Spelljack. You use a Reaction to steal the magic from a creature you can see, who is casting a spell, and redirect it into a powerful attack. The Aura Thief is a special kind of Rogue that has the ability to touch spells and magical effects as if they were gold coins. They can lift an abjuration spell from a wizard as easily as they could a ring from a countess’s finger. They have the skills to manipulate magic in a way that benefits them and can even share those enhancements with allies.

A magic item for use in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. This is a homebrew magic item created by Cloaks & Capes. Javelin of Magma Weapon (javelin), rare “This weapon looks as if it is made from molten magma, but still holds its form and doesn’t burn your hand when held.” Each time you make an attack roll with this magic weapon and hit, you can have it deal Fire damage instead of Piercing damage. When this weapon is used to make a ranged attack it will magically return to your hand at the end of your turn. Magma Bomb. When you make a successful ranged attack with this weapon you can use a Bonus Action to cause it to explode into a ball of magma. The target and each creature within 10 feet of it makes a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d8 Fire damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.
Since starting our Discord Community Campaign, the players have came up with so many great requests for magic items.

Plushie of Power, Tarrasque Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement) “A stuffed plush of the terrifying and legendary creature known as the Tarrasque, but instead of terrifying, it’s frighteningly cute and adorable!” This plushie of power is a wool-stuffed recreation of the creature, big enough to cuddle and hold in your arms. If you use an action to speak the command word and throw the plushie to a point on the ground within 60 feet of you, the figurine becomes a living creature. If the space where the creature would appear is occupied by other creatures or objects, or if there isn't enough space for the creature, the plushie doesn't become a creature. The creature is friendly to you and your companions. It understands your languages and obeys your spoken commands. If you issue no commands, the creature defends itself but takes no other actions. The creature exists for a duration specific to each plushie. At the end of the duration, the creature reverts to its plushie form. It reverts to a plushie early if it drops to 0 hit points or if you use an action to speak the command word again while touching it. When the creature becomes a plushie again, its property can't be used again until a certain amount of time has passed, as specified in the plushie's description. Tarrasque. This plushie is of the legendary tarrasque. It can become a tarrasque for up to 6 seconds. It cannot use legendary actions. Once it has been used, roll d100, on a roll of 90-100 the plushie loses its ability to become a tarrasque. On a roll of 1-89 it can’t be used again for 2 weeks. Power Overwhelming. When you attune to this plushie your Strength score increases by 4, to a maximum of 24. Whenever you are the target of a spell that requires a ranged attack roll, if the spell misses it randomly targets another creature within 30 feet of you.
