- Thursday: Since we got 2 DS games next, why not up it to 3DS (heh) with a playthrough of Layton's Mystery Journey! I've heard mixed opinions, but since the new Layton got delayed, figured I might as well give it a shot now 🕵️‍♀️

Nintendo announced Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch 2 Edition.

Release Date: January 15, 2026

They are bringing back a significant amount of Nintendo series crossover items as well as adding new content.

Think I'll finally play Golden Sun: The Lost Age as my November offline game since Mina the Hollower got delayed. Long overdue playthrough, no excuse for putting it off for so long after playing the first game 😅

With P3R after that in December, I'll be crossing off some banger RPGs off my backlog!

At least I got these 4 shinies along the way! The Vivillon and Budew were literally right next to each other, which confused me when I heard the shiny sparkle sound twice LMAO

Can confirm Mega Greninja was not too bad to acquire! Got it in 7 battles, which took about half an hour. Points are given generously for all kinds of tasks you do. Feel like worst case, it could take up to an hour or so if you get some unlucky 0 KO games/4th places.

Now I gotta get shiny froge 🐸✨

Finally, SHINY CHARM GET!! 🤩 clocked in at just under 48 hours in-game time wowee 😅

Missions done, still chipping away at the silly Shiny Charm grind though! However, I did find a funny cheese/semi-afk strat that should be faster and definitely easier to do 🤣 Think I got about 1.5 hrs to go aaaaa, might just do 1 more hr tonight, then finish the rest tomorrow 👀

All I have left is one LONG, arbitrary research task for Lv50/Shiny Charm, 5 side missions & finding all the screws. Gonna lock in and grind all night to get the Shiny Charm so I can shiny hunt green bug 🤩

I’m so down, just gotta grind out the shiny charm first, which might take another 24 hours 😅
