As suspected (this Owlsonline poster is generally spot on). Beware of certain journalists and their agendas and who they are really working for #swfc

Best memory of Leon Knight? Derek Geary putting him in the stands the following season when Brighton came to town!

I think the analytic approach will honestly work better on a clean slate. We only know three of the consortium and they do have some top notch advisors, and their professionalism in this process suggests they're in this for the long haul. That said I don't expect us to bounce back after one year.

EFL probably having to be on their guard given the regulator will be looking at their competence also.
The Bord group have top advisors including Tracey Crouch (who incidentally chaired the review which recommended the regulator being brought in) so shouldn't see any major issues with them tbh

Yan Valery to the Swiss league on loan is one of those moves that makes sense all round. High earner, meaningful football before World Cup and ups his value for a perm move elsewhere in the summer #swfc

Seem to remember him getting subbed off against Grimsby at home...after fifteen minutes, and it wasn't because he was injured

Think he's much better suited to being an assistant/first team coach than the main man, bit like when we had Alan Irvine. Obviously a good man manager, liked by the players and a great chap but falls short when in charge of the tactical and game management side.

Paul Hirst of the Times. Another journo who's fallen for Richards' and Symon's nonsense. You just don't hate journalists enough. #swfc

Good message from Begbies and a swift response to Paul Hirst's snide hit piece in the Times. #swfc

Craig Mudd being assistant here may have been of some help as he came from their setup (IIRC either the U21 or U18 side). They also poached a couple of ours this summer so we may have been able to call in something in return as part of that too

Darren Moore choosing to play "George Byers" in that position instead. That said he was always looking to move on given how his agent spent that last year touting for a move. It happens.

Not convinced he's there (yet) for this level based on eye test and stats, would thrive in L1 mind (would enquire about a loan next year). Think he's got a George Hirst-style ceiling, maybe not a big goalscorer but a good, solid all round forward. Like Hirst, might take a bit of time to get there

Alan Biggs pushing the Mike Ashley narrative again. We know Short Circuit advised the sacking of Biggs' mate at the other lot and also definitely touted Symon Quick as a reliable "source" (and I'm sure David Richards too, surprised he isn't touting him). #swfc

Last time we played Wrexham at home twenty years ago. Some incredible names in this team #swfc

I'd imagine it shouldn't be a problem given who the sponsors of the League are...given they only picked this up in early Jan, I imagine it probably won't be until mid-late February at the earliest that things really get moving. I think this will be the part that takes the longest!

Also would likely have got that contract elsewhere earlier this summer had Chansiri not spun him a false promise. Wouldn't surprise me if he'd been contemplating this for a good while and at times has cut a frustrated figure thought this season (again, don't particularly blame him)

Should def sell those who won't be here next year (Bannan, Lowe, Valery) now to keep the players that could be big impact players next season and poss gain bigger fees in the future under new ownership (McNeill, Cadamarteri), 100%. A fee for Charles in summer may well be higher than now too #swfc

Poker player’s punt on Wednesday shrouded in secrecy after Blades missteps James Bord’s consortium is the preferred bidder to take over Sheffield Wednesday but his data-led player recruitment record is mixed, especially over at Bramall Lane

Good piece on Bord via Teh Graun. Some genuinely positive nuggets on what we should look to see from their group in there that I like the sound of #swfc www.theguardian.com/football/202...

One of the very few plus points, Jaden Heskey looks like he could make a positive impact. Hopefully by the end of his loan he'll be at the same sort of level that Amass was when he finished #swfc

Adam Shaw (remember him?)'s company in liquidation. To think there were people platforming and pushing for this hack to own the club at some point. #swfc

I'd be surprised if he makes the Scotland squad given the midfielders they have, absolutely no problem with him going for one last payday/shot at the PL/cups in Scotland at 36. Had to do a lot of carrying on his back especially this year and being club captain this season must be exhausting.

Solid performance from the lads today against very accomplished opposition. Particular kudos to Logan Stretch who came on and did well in his first pro game. Distinct lack of tin foil cups in the stadium however #swfc
