Saw Ian Brown at the Liquid Rooms in ’99. Cracking tunes, proper atmosphere , sort of gig where you forgive the vocals because you’re emotionally invested & possibly 5 pints deep, but yeah, he’ won't be lining up to belt out a bit of Whitney Houston at karaoke anytime soon.😁

Sakamoto’s music has been an ever present in my life, my wee musical companion through change, loss, growth, & reflection. Sakamoto's along with Glass taught me that music doesn’t need to be loud to be profound, most important though, that a single note can hold an entire world of feeling.

Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Opus is less a performance than a quiet goodbye.
Every note feels suspended between presence & absence, fragile, deliberate, eternal. Minimal piano, maximum soul. A final statement that doesn’t end, it simply fades into memory. I miss this mans music so much. #NowPlaying 🎧

Very smooth whiskey. Underrated and can normally be picked up fairly cheap.

My preference is normally a more peaty Islay malt, but, I’ve went for the Auchentoshan Lowland malt for a wee change.🥃

Late entrants demanding a go at my liver. Think I might go for the outlier Weedgie malt, Auchentoshen, a nice easy to drink lowland malt.

My lads always get me a bottle when they visit which is always a nice. None of my kids touch alcohol so I can’t even have a nip with them when they come up. My liver’s fair game😂

It’ll just be the one bottle I stick to. I’m not a lager or beer drinker, if I have a pint, it’s usually Guinness. Tonight, though, it’s strictly single malt only
