Back in my day, AI used to stand for Adobe Illustrator! And we hated that, too!

Weeks later I still donโ€™t know what to make of it. That was a good piece though. Lyd and I watched Nosferatu the other night and it was so bad Iโ€™m caught up on that now. I feel like thereโ€™s a growing gap between critical praise and โ€œactualโ€ quality (whatever that might mean, subjectively).

Joseph Crabtree produced some of his most stylistically original work in the 1930s. In thisย scene depicting the city of Durham in the northeast of England, he used a realistic stone coloured palette and arranged buildings into regular geometric patterns.

Yeah they just announced today heโ€™s picked up something or other, looks like a month out, unfortunately. Heโ€™s a great player. started for us at left back in Europe vs Monaco. It was a bad game but heโ€™s getting some good experience, I think

Spectropia; or, Surprising Spectral Illusions (1865), a wonderful book of Victorian hi-tech ghost conjuring which allows the reader to summon, as the sub-title proclaims, โ€œghosts everywhere and of any colourโ€. More here: publicdomainreview.org/collection/s...

'A Figure at Dusk.' (c1890) Painted by Algernon Talmage in St Ives, the ever-changing light in Cornwall enabled him to establish his characteristic mellow palette. For the most part, he paintedย plein airย landscapes and pastorals, especially farming scenes.

Wallace Polsom, โ€œCare of Selfโ€ (06 Feb 2017), paper collage, 20.2 x 27.5 cm | wallacepolsom.com/post/1569000... Leonardoโ€™s โ€œLady with an Ermineโ€ (c. 1489-1491) is one of my all-time favourite portraits, so of course I had to mess with it & then I used PoD to turn it into an iPhone case for my wife!

Been laughing about this for over a week now. Is the video โ€œgood for tvโ€? Presumably! But then it makes you wonder: am I grossing my tv out playing videos that are bad for it? What on earth does this mean?

IMHO T. Matsumoto is brilliant - yes no news there, heโ€™s one Eisner - but his line is wild , textured, varied. Iโ€™m not a huge fan of manga where itโ€™s so crisp and stark. I love the almost controlled naรฏvetรฉ of his line work!
This story is near incomprehensible atm, but loving it still

Yes! That one blew me away, thereโ€™s so much life and skill in the drawing. Both looser and more precise than I can draw, I envy it haha really inventive.

A frame from Mothra vs Godzilla (1964).
Two men stand in an office. One of them is looking at the other and his moustache is, frankly, too small. The other man has a grey suit, red tie, tinted glasses, and a skeptical look on his face.
The caption reads, "Mothra gave you power of attorney?"

Not pictured: Godzilla; Mothra; the public notary
