I used to be a huge fan of writing excerpts for my concepts that were usually first time interactions between characters! Like, how would character A and B interact upon meeting for the first time?

Due to some self growth, lately I write a lot of characters just being in their personal headspaces!

Hey fantasy enjoyers, how do you feel about authors that apply real world language to their work?

E.g., character speaks with a French accent and says a French word or two, but for story's sake it's never recognized as French or a difference in language at all.
