Measles outbreaks are not normal.

Measles was eliminated in 2000 due to successful vaccination campaigns. Declining vaccination rates since have led to an increase in measles outbreaks. The good news is #measles is preventable with the MMR vaccine.

Rabies virus is the most lethal virus. Neuroinvasive rabies is a death sentence.

I cannot stress this enough: if you have any physical contact with a bat—especially a bite—get treatment immediately. If it gets into your central nervous system, you will die horribly.

Cervical Cancer Mortality Among US Women Younger Than 25 Years This study examines trends in cervical cancer mortality in US women aged younger than 25 years before and after the introduction of human papillomavirus vaccines.

The HPV vaccine has been recommended in the US since 2006. New study out today shows that cervical cancer deaths in young women in the years that followed have plummeted, decreasing 15% per year from 2013-2015.
