I did it.
It was surprisingly easy, because I hadn't used Insta in years and still hadn't updated squat.
Also, because my phone is restarting continuously and has accumulated a ridiculous amount of app bloat, I'm going crazy deleting and moving my information before rebooting and/or retiring it.

As someone pointed out, these embroideries are the works of Palestinian refugee women with a Japan-based collective called Palestinian Embroidery Obi on IG. They apply Palestinian embroidery technique on obi (wide sash). Here, Professor Chie Sugino wore such obi while visiting Palestine.

Been watching the Dororo remake and trying to draw Classic Hyakkimaru has been my wake-up call for how badly I need to practice keeping my arm steady during long curves 😭

You start to wonder if was all an act, or if they just got corrupted and ignorant with surplus wealth and age.

It's gotten to a point where idolizing people is actually exhausting, because any celebrity can turn on your expectations - including the ones you grew up with your whole life.

It really throws me into a mental loop when media and people who were once associated with freedom of creativity/expression, progressive ideals, and "sticking it to the man" are now considered either conformist at best, or conservative at worst.

I haven't truly experienced any excitement or joy with recent super hero movies until Superman 2025.

And I don't touch X-Men 97, just out of principal.
Or anything from directly from Disney for that matter.

But as the movies kept releasing, one after another, they started to become incredibly bloated to me.
And discovering that Disney's MCU was being funded by the US Military, it became incredibly easy for me to lose all interests in almost all superhero content.

I love superhero comics and animation, and I was initially excited for the expansion of cinematic super hero universes when they began to re-surge during the 2010s - at first.

So much has happened in these last couple of months. I don't even know where to begin. Some life changes. Guess I'll start by saying I've been working on some insanely cool projects I cannot wait to share with you. Some personal, some professional. Met some cool people. 2026 will be interesting.
