The giant was kind, caring and always so gentle with littlefolk. Even the most skittish of tinies would eventually warm up to them.

All but one tiny, who had levelled up their perception skill to such a degree that they could see in ominous red text next to the giants face "-1000 karma".

They're a major boon to the cuteness of a tiny.

"What are you doing?"

The tiny had been giving dozens of hugs all over the giant's hand.

"I'm going to hug every last part of your body"

"Why?"

"You seem sad, so I want to make sure there's not a single inch of you that doesn't feel loved and appreciated... Is it not helping?"

"No, it helps..."

Hanging out with you at a time we don't usually get to is always a good feeling.

She knew he wanted to eat her. He tried to hide it, but being twenty times her size made it easy for her to pick up on subtle expressions.

She understood she should be scared, but it just excited her. The fact he put in so much effort to fight against his instincts for her made her feel so special.

"So how many tinies would you say you've eaten?"

"Far too many to count, but thousands at least. There's no escaping once I get my hands on them."

"Oh? And how many have you spared?"

"Just one."

The tiny looked down, feeling a mix of shyness and fear. They really were impossibly lucky after all.

Yet the moment the words left her mouth, she felt her friend's fingers ever so slightly loosen. It was a really subtle difference, but the gentle pressure was gone.

Somehow it felt so distant.

She felt her heart flutter, right before her anxiety shot through the roof. There was no way he would ever be into her, she was way too small for someone his size.

"Haha, stop! A giant and a tiny could never work..."

The words felt like glass shards to say, but she had to dispel the tension fast.

Her friend's grip on her was always perfect, she wondered how he managed it. It was firm but gentle, like a comforting hug, and it made her feel so safe. It was why she loved being carried around by him.

That, and the fact she had a massive crush on him.

I suppose it'd be the end of change for you. From then onwards you'd never have a day where you're expected to do anything other than be someone's sweet pet.

A huge finger slid under her chin and forced her to look into her giant's eyes.

"I know you don't believe me, so I'll keep saying it until it's impossible for that silly head of yours to deny."

Growing fruits has never felt more rewarding than when picking one fresh off the plant for you, then watching you excitedly reach out for it.

Tiny who's truly in love with their giant, but always doubts that the affection they receive is anything more than love for a pet.

Yet when they're pinned down after some fun play fighting, and they look up into those colossal, adoring eyes, they ever so briefly dare to hope the feeling's mutual.

Tiny who's really bad at arguing, so they'll just silently nod in agreement when their giant is rambling about things like how it's actually perfectly ethical to eat tinies.
