It's a super interesting topic to think about! I have heard from so many people as well as experienced it myself that it does help heal trauma.

I am currently completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I am a horse girl through and through. I also enjoy photography and video editing. For self-care, I spend time with my horses; I enjoy colouring, reading, watching shows/movies & knitting
It's a super interesting topic to think about! I have heard from so many people as well as experienced it myself that it does help heal trauma.
03.04.2025 01:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I swear by it too! I have become a brand new person since I started doing self-care on a regular basis. I've noticed it has positively impacted my relationships with others!
03.04.2025 01:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of course every bit counts! I do encourage you to make a schedule where you fit in some form of self-care whether it is exercise or not. Schedules often help those who procrastinate!
03.04.2025 01:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is so important. I used to always think I had to constantly say the right things to make my friends feel better when they were feeling down. I have learned in recent years that this isn't the case. The use of silence is so strong when someone is talking to you; it means you're listening.
02.04.2025 04:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love this! I, too, prepare everything in advance, including conversations. I, too, need to surrender and let go. I know how much it is affecting my life, but it is so difficult to let go.
02.04.2025 04:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love the way that you pieced this post together! It made me super engaged in reading. I also enjoyed how you mentioned that people should do self-care multiple times throughout this process. As someone who is blogging about self-care and uses it on a daily basis, I really appreciated seeing this!
02.04.2025 04:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is a great topic to bring up! I want to scream when I see people giving pets as gifts. I'm sorry they are not gifts, they are living, breathing creatures that need love and to be cared for. They don't need to make someone happy for one day and then end up in a pound or abusive environments!
02.04.2025 01:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great read! As a broke university student, I totally understand the psychological harm these tariffs are going to put on many people. I already struggle to afford things for myself, so I can only imagine how families are going to struggle with all this stuff.
02.04.2025 01:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Great read! Psychopaths and sociopaths are huge interests of mine, so I always love to read anything people have to say about them! I'm also biased because I'm obsessed with serial killers and crime documentaries.
02.04.2025 00:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I LOVE DEXTER! One of my favourite shows!
02.04.2025 00:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow! As someone who has always dreamed of one day owning their own business this was super informative! I enjoyed reading this and it made me realize all the things that can or need to go into having your own business! I also didn't know that under $30k you're exempt from taxes! Great post!
02.04.2025 00:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I enjoyed your post. I have lived in toxic environments in the past, and it's not healthy for your mental health in any way, shape, or form. Luckily, I have the opportunity to live at home while I am in school. I don't think I could handle a toxic living environment on top of school stress.
02.04.2025 00:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I always told myself that if one day my family won the lottery, then I would be happy because I would have everything I wanted. Now that I'm an adult, yeah, money would bring some joy as I would be able to afford different things, but it wouldn't fix my mental state, so would I be happy? Great post!
01.04.2025 23:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I enjoyed your post! Therapy has done so much for me and has saved my life on numerous occasions. As someone who struggled with severe depression and anxiety growing up, I always appreciate those who advocate for therapy!
01.04.2025 23:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes definitely... but I'm also a terrible influence soooo...
01.04.2025 14:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of course, it's considered exercise! anything that makes you active and move around is considered exercise in my books! Thanks for sharing!
31.03.2025 02:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you like to exercise? Did you know that exercise can also be a self-care strategy? Did you know exercise is also great for your mental health? Find out more by reading my latest blog post!

Oh wow!
31.03.2025 01:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I always tell people that books are better than movies and no one seems to believe me! One of my favourite books got made into a movie and I cannot bring myself to watch the movie because I am terrified that it won't be as good as the book.
31.03.2025 01:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dr. Pol is incredible! It used to be my feel-better show when I was struggling with anxiety! I have horses, so it was cool to see some of the differences in the treatment and medicine he uses compared to what the vets here use! I think more people should watch his show it's super educational!
30.03.2025 20:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow! Where are you located? We got next to no ice where I live!
30.03.2025 20:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much for sharing this! That is an incredible thing to take away from your tattoos! My first one is song lyrics "The sun will rise and we will try again." Those lyrics kept me going through some of my darkest moments and I needed a way to see them all the time to remind myself everyday!
30.03.2025 00:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much for the feedback! You should definitely make a self-care day and go to get a tattoo!
30.03.2025 00:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is exactly what new tattoos do for me! Sometimes I have so much internal pain that I can't channel it anywhere and getting a tattoo is the perfect way to channel it sometimes.
30.03.2025 00:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You're an adult you are free to get a tattoo if you wish, and if you need to blame someone, I am totally here to be your scapegoat, haha!
30.03.2025 00:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I do exactly this! Sometimes, the real world gives me sensory overload, so immersing myself in books where I can be in a fantasy world definitely grounds me!
30.03.2025 00:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Honestly, the anxiety about permanency goes away! I often forget I even have tattoos haha! Plus they're not as nerve-wracking as some people make them out to be!
28.03.2025 15:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow, very informative! I don't know if I could do it, though. Something about the thought of eating something that was literal bones simmering in it makes me uneasy, haha! Great post I loved it!
28.03.2025 03:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Haha! Sounds like the perfect plan!
In all seriousness, though, I do not intend for people to run out and get tattoos because someone said it's a great self-care strategy! Glad you liked the post though!
Did you know that some people use ink therapy as a self-care strategy? Did you know that tattoos can be therapeutic?
Read my newest blog post to find out why!
