I did found myself getting upset with rh sin's part of that 2nd book, in fact i got upset with most of the book. But that's a whole ramble that i don't care to get into now.

I feel like the reading slump is taking longer to overcome this time. I just need one really fun and good book! 😫

This week's books. More poetry, i think this year i will try to pick less modern poetry, although i like it, it's becoming repetitive so i don't enjoy it as much.
I did really like Santiago Alanis, there's a different kind of feeling reading poetry in spanish, i can't quite explaint it. (+)

And staying in an abusive relationship “for the children” is abuse to the child. I can already feel myself getting upset, so I’ll just say this: children learn what relationships look like from you. Good & bad. And too often, it ends up being the bad they carry into their own lives. That’s not fair.

We’re lucky to live in places where banned books aren’t really a thing. I feel sad for people who fear information. Not knowing only creates more fear. It’s just knowledge, and knowledge shouldn’t be feared. In my very humble opinion.

I’m going to refuse to touch on religion. Forgive me for that. 🤍

Love has become something that can be performed, like you said. And that part is just sad.

You are not stupid. And I agree, more than parents not loving their kids, I think many simply didn’t know better. And when you don’t know better, you can’t do better.

The whole “using other authors’ words” and kind of turning them into law rubbed me the wrong way. And the self-help dialogue? It got tiresome fast.

And I’ll repeat myself: society loves to brag about love, but a lot of it feels like hypocrisy.

Rambles! It’s definitely been a while. We really need to get back to it. 😏
