The revolutionary thing about *consciously* choosing to engage in social issues like drug abuse and homelessness with empathy and kindness is that it allows you to remove your own ego from this sort of commentary. Which I guess is why I find headlines like this are so galling and tasteless.

Help get rid of these: open a 311 obstructed sidewalk complaint! These are all illegal because SF does not allow sidewalk planters to be over 36" wide.
