Candidly, and to the other poster's point, I don't see you doing a lot of listening, but you seem to be a man of your generation so go off, queen. ππ
18.10.2025 22:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Um... Lol, your timeline actually looks like you're promoting everything else, how do you screen content that quickly before blasting it out!? π«£
18.10.2025 15:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The experience you're sharing in suggesting people sit down, though, is actually dangerous in 2025.
It's not ageist to say that 1960s civil rights tactics are outdated or need iteration.
You're offering the protest equivalent of "just walk in, hand 'em your resume and say you want the job!"
I mean, I wouldn't sit there to take it either? If someone comes up to harass you and you're just standing there, consider their motives and if you want to keep standing there? I'd just walk away.
This is isn't really my "opinion" - sitting down at a protest is generally not leading practice.
Hope is great, rebellions are built on hope.
Promoting misinformation that will harm people isn't hope. Please reconsider what you're circulating, this is not fringe theory.
People are crushed and trampled in crowds that do not have the added threat of state violence all the time.
an unfortunate reality is that most people will not follow all of the proper safety measures today.
so, at the very least, please:
- DO bring water
- DO disable biometrics (FaceID, TouchID, etc) on your phone
- DO NOT take pictures of other people
- DO NOT sit down
- DO NOT talk to cops
Plus, honestly, lady, if you felt what I said was both snide and rude, then sitting on the sidelines is where you belong because your skin clearly ain't thick enough for the internet OR this fight.
I didn't even cuss at you hon, c'mon, you're a grown ass woman and someone called you out. Deal.
Honey, I'm a 6' trans lesbian. Confidence and insecurity ain't my problem - your naive stupidity was.
Thanks for deleting the post. You need to be careful about the assumptions you make about people who don't feel the need to put their degrees in their profiles, if you want to talk insecurities.
Lol "just gonna take anyone away"? And... How does that happen?
Go ahead, rub your 2 brain cells together, I'll wait.
Right, so regardless of one's ability to stand back up - if you sit, in a crowd, and especially one being moved on by agents of a police state, you will be hurt or killed.
Hahahaha this one got me, needed that! π
18.10.2025 13:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think "there's no need to scare the hell out of folks" is incredibly naive and tone deaf.
It's not "scaring the hell" out of your kids to tell them to look both ways before they cross the street, right?
So what's scary as hell about "don't sit down in a crowd like a moron"? Think about it.
Right!? Playing dead and protecting your neck like, is the advice for a bear attack, but it still ain't good advice!
And I guess, it probably has a better chance of protecting you from a grizzly than "sitting down" will keep anyone safe, today...
Don't sit down for fuck's sake, it's the worst thing you can do TBH. You seem like adults, think about it - you've seen stories of people being crushed by the crowd at soccer games and concerts, right?
Same principal applies here with the added likelihood of state violence.
Bad advice to sit.
Absolutely do not "sit your butt down". You don't have to fight but you do have to remain on your feet to actually exit the violent situation, you understand that, right?
Think about how people get trampled and crushed in crowds. Now, think about what happens if you're sitting and riot cops move.
That was my feeling too! I happened to be awake and... Yeah, buckle up and protect ya neck, kid, but appreciate being in it with you! β€οΈ

18.10.2025 13:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good faith and best intentions to avoid confusion don't necessarily prevent it. Ultimately, there is a good chance that agents of the state will react violently today.
Sitting down when that happens, or, just in general, in a crowd, is dangerous. You're a doctor? Delete the bad advice.
Heard, hard to read that tone on the internet, and like, occasionally for my broken brain, anyway. πββοΈπ
18.10.2025 13:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hey, thanks for that, it's hard to do on the Internet sometimes! Good looking out. β€οΈ
18.10.2025 10:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Like, surely you wouldn't consider me a credible source advising you to deal with law enforcement in your country, right? You might say something like "you don't understand how it works here", and that's all I'm saying. π€·ββοΈ
Our lardy cops ain't jolly, they're just heavier with a knee in your back.
Right, because laws and law enforcement are universal across countries and cultures, so, like, as an American I should totally take the advice and perspective of non-Americans with regard to state violence getting committed by and to Americans, right?
Kind of a weird comment. π
One more time for the center-libs in the back of the room:
DON'T SIT DOWN IN A CROWD. π
Thank you though. Your thread is well articulated, important and a hell of a lot better than I could do. π€·ββοΈ Spot on.
