Jokes aside the new starters are... Fine.
Much like Sw/Sh, I don't love any of them but I also don't dislike any of them either.
I'll definitely be picking Gecqua though

I'm probably still gonna buy the games tbh, my impulse control is horrendous now and will likely still be horrendous in 2027

Upon rewatch it definitely looks better than SV, especially the water physics, but I also don't think that's a very high bar to clear.
It's still just first impressions, obviously we need to see a lot more before making final judgements, so for now I'll try to remain optimistic.

Maybe it's just first impressions but I don't really think it looks any better than Scarlet&Violet.
I'm hoping it at least runs better on the console it's designed for or AT THE VERY LEAST has a good story and characters.

I say this as someone who has the Switch 2 version of Legends Z-A btw. I know I'm in no position to make these criticisms but I will anyway because the world's highest grossing media franchise deserves so much better.

Game Freak doesn't treat their biggest franchise with any respect, they just see it as a cash cow.
And it is to them since the games always, ALWAYS sell huge numbers. They can get away with underdelivering no matter how severe the backlash unfortunately.

It certainly does run much better on Switch 2 but that ain't exactly a compliment now is it lol

If they're not gonna make Winds&Waves look any better than Scarlet&Violet the narrative better be at least on par or better than the previous game.
(Scarlet and Violet has a good story and great characters, fight me)
