The news of a GI Joe movie being developed, besides the news of who the one potential screen writer is, seems like really horrible timing? Does anyone think that even within the US a film showing US military as the “good guys” is going to land in the current climate?

Petrol vehicles. SA is decades away from a mostly renewable energy society. We need efficient public transit and a Transnet that works.

Sadly oil affects (infects?) so much. Food delivery? Diesel powered trucks. Goods delivery from factory to port? Diesel powered trucks. Yeah a functioning freight train network would relieve that burden, but last mile delivery is still more efficient by truck. Transport for employees?

It’s amazing how silly things like free cash flows and ability to generate profit & service debt aren’t foundational valuation and lending principles when it comes to these conmen. I remember when a large techtuber got a $100m offer for his admittedly impressive business.

You could, problem is getting banks & VCs to accept your valuations to lend you $$$ based on nothing but vibes and circular references.

Picked this up based off a PCGamer preview. Enjoyable, tutorial mission on the first ship is a bit too easy & having to hold right click to rotate screen is messy (prefer Q & E). Hopefully now in game proper challenge increases. So far 6/10
