Had a great day attending the CONUL Teaching and Learning 2025 seminar listening to brilliant talks about how librarians are collaborating with colleagues and working together to support each other and library users. #CONULTL25

That's a wrap on #CONULTL25 and a celebratory (soft) drink has been had.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day a success, to all our speakers for their great talks, as well as the Long Room Hub for hosting.

Key points to connect and sow the seeds for future collaborations. Opportunities for outreach are hugely varied and distinct.

Our penultimate short talk for #CONULTL25 is by Ben Williamson of @ucclibrary.bsky.social , presenting on their library-led Graduate Information Literacy module as an embedded module in postgrad studies.

Shadowing Librarians, as well as receiving training in supporting students, is hugely beneficial in giving development opportunities to library staff looking to develop their careers

Áine highlighting the importance of external collaborations, but also now outlining how internal library collaboration can provide a wider and more complete service.

Our third afternoon talk at #CONULTL25 is by Áine Ni Bharáin of @mulibrary.bsky.social , speaking on library collaboration supporting LGBTQIA+ in the University

New form of engagement between students and Library Assistants - on the move at TU Dublin

Always tricky to get Faculty buy-in but success here at TU Dublin. Great example of Library Assistant innovation and expertise. #CONULTL25

Faculty buy-in on orientation tour worksheets (tailored to specific courses) shows great engagement and growth. Particularly increased presence of lecturers on Library tours

Next at #CONULTL25 is Nick Herbert, Maeve Kerins, and Corinne Groble from @tudublin.bsky.social, speaking on their use of Library Orientation Tours as a teaching and learning activity.

Outreach as a huge part of the Library and as a host of external events. But the question is always 'what other events could we run and enhance engagement '. Students asking for "more events".

Our afternoon short talks kick off with Christine Cullen from @rcsilibrary.bsky.social, speaking on her role in engagement and collaboration inside and outside the RCSI Library #CONULTL25

Lots of informative insights to take away from Dr. John Danaher's excellent keynote (too many to properly note in short posts), and the deep impacts of AI across all fields, not just the Library.
